This review is to serve Cooper Moon: The Calling, and Cooper Moon: The Temptation, and as such I'll be posting it for each book.Loved everything about these books; so many realistic life situations, misunderstandings, assumptions, and just about every other big and little thing you can imagine. It's made all the better because (especially if you've ever lived in a small town and you know what it's like when everyone knows about ALL your business), we're all just people and therefore imperfect by nature. I love how all the characters - large and small - have back stories that are seamlessly weaved together giving credence to that six-degrees-of-separation theory.
Cooper Moon is well aware of his shortcomings and epic failures, and would likely be the first one to tell you he's made tons of serious mistakes in his life. Now as he tries to atone for those mistakes, it seems that someone (or two, or perhaps even more), will forever be sabotaging his efforts and put even more distance between him and accomplishing his new and quite ambitious goals of (not necessarily in this order), first; building a church, second; becoming a successful preacher, and third; despite all the affairs he's had and sins he's committed, saving his extremely tumultuous marriage as he attempts to restore his relationship with his wife, the only woman he's ever truly loved.
Can't wait for books three and four, to see how this colorful small-town drama plays out. Very well-thought out, well-written, fast-paced stories so far.

Love this series of books. Very well written and I feel like I know the characters. Can't wait to read the next episode.
I am hooked on this series. The characters are so well written, I feel like I know each of them personally. As I followed along with them as they made their choices in life, it was frustrating, sad, funny, and always entertaining. I couldn't put this book down until I finished it and now can't wait for the next one!
Read this series in order with no interruptions for other books. Spell binding.
Great Book, this is the second of a series. I had to keep reading to find out what happened next. So looking forward to the release of the 3rd book in this series.
Cooper Moon is trying so hard to do the right thing since accepting God into his life. However, it seems some are bound to make his path very difficult along the way. Although in his former life he was no "goody two shoes", he is still demonstrates an essence of innocence. He is a common, down to earth type of guy called to be a pastor. His adventures along the way can be very exciting as well as quite funny at times. Great character building by author Cheryl Shireman.
This sequel to Cooper Moon The Calling flows easily from one character to another.
No one is left untouched by Cooper Moon. And yet, the man intends no harm. He's an easy-going dude who just happens to draw women to him with no effort.
